PYLE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Pyle Community Council consists of nine members representing over 5,500 residents of Kenfig Hill and Pyle. The Council handle a budget of approximately £110,000. Unlike County Borough Councillors, they receive no pay – in other words, they give their services free to the residents they represent.
The Council has a Clerk, who is also the Responsible Financial Officer, and deals with all administration matters, and to whom all correspondence should be addressed. The Council also have an Events Administrator who manages events such as the Annual Festival Week held during June, the Remembrance Day Parade and the annual Christmas Event.
The Council meets on the third Tuesday of every month, except for August and December. There are also Committee meetings, such as Finance, held at various intervals.
The Council provides Festive lighting during the Christmas period and floral displays during the summer period, throughout Pyle and Kenfig Hill.
Twice a year, May and November, the Council considers requests for donations and grants. Any local Club/Association who wishes to apply for a donation/grant from the Council should pass their request to the Clerk prior to the meeting date on which Donations are being discussed.
The Council produces a Newsletter twice a year to provide residents with updates on Council business.
